Bantam AE, 2014-2015 (Minto Minor Hockey Association)

On February 9th Minto travelled to Clinton for the fourth game in their OMHA series against BCH.  The Mad Dogs trailed the series after a 2-1 loss on January 27th when they met BCH at the Clifford Arena. Minto hit the ice in Clinton knowing that they needed a win tonight to keep their OMHA play alive.  Despite their strong play and numerous drives into BCH’s end, BCH managed to light the scoreboard up first half way into the first period. The Mad Dogs wouldn’t let that goal get them down.  They kept the pressure on until they notched a goal of their own with a little less than 2 minutes left ...

On Saturday January 24, 2015 the Mad Dogs hosted Mitchell in Palmerston.  This was the 2nd game of the round robin play of the WOAA Neilson Playdowns.  While Minto was looking for win number 2 against Mitchell, Mitchell was looking to even the score by winning the second matchup against Minto.

On January 21, 2015 the Bantam AE’s headed to Hensall to do their best to tie up the OMHA Series against BCH. This game seemed a bit different; the boys came out for warm up with a bit of a spark.  From the moment they took the face off at the beginning of the game until the final buzzer the boys never lost focus of the job at hand. On January 20, 2015 the Mad Dogs hosted BCH at the Harriston Arena for the first game of the OMHA Quarter Finals. Minto managed to find the back of the net first with 3 minutes left in the first period.  Scoring for the Mad Dogs was Will Dennison, assisted by Noah Aitken and Tanner Loos.  A minute and a half later BCH tied up the game with a goal of their own. In the second period, once again, Minto struck first on a goal by Noah Aitken, assisted by Will Dennison and Tanner Loos.  Despite Minto’s efforts BCH tied the score up again.

Sunday January 18th the Bantam AE Team headed to Mitchell for their 1st game in the WOAA Neilson Playdowns.  This was their first game in three weeks and no one really knew what to expect from the team. Even though the Mad Dogs controlled the first six minutes of the game Mitchell managed to score the first goal. The Team didn't let the goal slow them down.  Two minutes later Tanner Loos scored to even up the score.  The first period ended with a 1-1 score.
