The Bantam AE Team Met Mitchell in 1st Game of WOAA Neilson Playdowns
Sunday January 18th the Bantam AE Team headed to Mitchell for their 1st game in the WOAA Neilson Playdowns.  This was their first game in three weeks and no one really knew what to expect from the team. Even though the Mad Dogs controlled the first six minutes of the game Mitchell managed to score the first goal. The Team didn't let the goal slow them down.  Two minutes later Tanner Loos scored to even up the score.  The first period ended with a 1-1 score.

47 seconds into the second period, Connor Rowley popped a goal into the top of Mitchell’s net to give the Mad Dogs a one goal advantage.  His goal was assisted by Boston Will.  The Mad Dogs capitalized on every opportunity they had during the game.  The fans were so impressed with the great passes each line made and how determined each team member was to make the plays happen!  Minto added four more goals during the second period to make the score 6-1 at the end of two.  Scoring those goals where:

Noah Aitken, assisted by Andrew Mallett

Tanner Loos, assisted by Connor Rowley and Ian Jamieson

Tanner Loos, assisted by Bradyn Brooking and Andrew Mallett

Will Dennison, assisted by Tanner Loos and Boston Will

 

The Mad Dogs came out strong in the third determined to widen their lead and keep the puck out of the Minto Net.  The Team worked hard to add two more unanswered goals during the period to give them an 8 to 1 win over Mitchell.  Goals scored in the 3rd by:

Owen Day played a strong game between the pipes for Minto.

 

The guys demonstrated awesome puck control, offensive and defensive play and executed great passes throughout the entire game!
