The Mad Dogs Travelled to Hensall in their Quest to Tie the OMHA Series Up
On January 21, 2015 the Bantam AE’s headed to Hensall to do their best to tie up the OMHA Series against BCH.

This game seemed a bit different; the boys came out for warm up with a bit of a spark.  From the moment they took the face off at the beginning of the game until the final buzzer the boys never lost focus of the job at hand. Minto jumped on every opportunity and managed to score 3 goals in the 1st period.  Goals scored by:

Kaleb Irvin, assisted by Travis McLean
Tanner Loos, assisted by Will Dennison and Noah Aitken
Travis McLean assisted by Bradyn Brooking

Before the 1st period ended BCH managed to sneak one goal into Minto’s net making the score 3-1 at the end of the first.

In the 2nd period, the Mad Dogs worked hard to shut down BCH’s drives to Minto’s net, chipping the puck up and getting shots off at the BCH net.  BCH worked just as hard to stop Minto’s advances.  The 2nd period remained scoreless.

The 3rd period saw a very determined Minto team take to the ice.  All Mad Dog Players were giving it their all to keep the lead they gained during the first two periods.  A few minutes into the 3rd period Minto scored what would be the last goal of the game.  Goal scored by Kaleb Irvin, assisted by Boston Will.

Owen Day did a great job of stopping BCH’s scoring attempts.

The Team played both a great defensive and offensive game to give them a 4-1 win over BCH.

These two teams meet again on Tuesday January 27th in Clifford at 6:30pm.  Come out and cheer Minto on!
