Novice LL "A" champions!
On Saturday Jan 31st, the Minto Novice LL team competed in Durham at a one day tournament and brought home the gold!
In the first game, they faced off against Arthur. They charged on showing lots of energy in this game and finished with a 10-0 result. This put them in the "A" division to play the winner of the game between Tavistock and Penetanguishene.
They met Tavistock in the second game. Minto had to play aggressive to battle along with this team and proved victorious with a 2-1 win. This win put them into the Championship game against the host team Durham. Great efforts by all players!
Earlier this year, Minto went to Durham and lost 4-1 so Minto knew they were in for a tough game. The team played a very balanced game with all team members contributing to the 4-2 win. Many of the kids let us know that they were going for the gold this time and they did! Congratulations boys and girls on your tournament success.
