Atom LL # 2 posts another win!
On Saturday Novemeber 6th Minto hosted Wallace in a spirited tilt at the Palmerston Arena. After a quick goal only 9 seconds into the game and a second goal by Wallace in the first period our gang as behind the proverbial 8 ball pretty quick! After weathering the storm from the first period Minto finally gained their legs and started to play better hockey in the 2nd.
Tyler Canning banged home our first goal assisted by Brooke Drost to cut the lead in half 2 to 1. Minto Kept on pushing the Wallace defense and 2 minutes later tied the game on goal by Boston Will with assists going to Andrew Mallett and Travis Mclean. On their next shift on the ice the same line put Minto into the lead that they never looked back from, Boston Will on an end to end rush beat the Wallace tender with the assist going to Andrew Mallett. Alex Mock banged home a rebound from a Greg Young shot to give Minto a 4 to 2 lead heading into the 3rd period.
After numerous chances in the 3rd Minto chipped in their 5th goal by Travis Mclean with the assists going to Brooke Drost and Will Dennison. Wallace scored with about a minute left on the clock to bring the final score to 5 to 3 Minto. After the team woke up in the 2nd period there were great scoing chances were created by the whole Minto team only to be turned back again and again by the Wallace goalie. Good job team next we host Walkerton Monday night in Harriston.
