Minto advances to the WOAA finals with 2 wins over Bruce Peninsula.
On January 16, the Atom reps began the 1st round of the WOAA playoffs in Harriston vs. Bruce Peninsula. The result was a 9-0 win for Minto.
True to form, Minto came out strong and fast and put pressure on B.P keeping them pinned in their end for a good part of the game. An always strong defence shut down attempts on Minto's netminder Trevor Scott who gets the shutout. Great job team on both ends. Goals for the game go to Tyson Koopman-2, Brodie Hoffele-2, Reid Lobsinger-2, Lucas Oxford, Brett Zabel and Parker Miller. Assists go to, Brodie Hoffele-3, Parker Miller-3, Brett Zabel-2, Logan Wanless-2, Reid Lobsinger and Cody Camm.
After 2 game cancelations due to bad weather, Minto managed to get to Bruce Peninsula for the second and final game. The result was a score of 8-1 Minto.
The host team wasted no time serving notice that they came to play and notched an early goal just minutes in. They kept the pressure on and forced a quick paced game. It would be Lucas Oxford that would score first with 2 minutes left in the period to make it 1-1.
Brodie Hoffele would open the second with a goal followed by Lucas Oxfords back to back goals to make the score 4-1 by the end of the frame.
Four goals in the 3rd came from Brodie Hoffele-2, Reid Lobsinger, and Parker Miller. Assists go to Parker Miller-3, Reid Lobsinger-2, Brett Zabel-2, Logan Wanless, Leah Herrfort, Cody Camm, Drew Bell and Lucas Oxford. Trevor Scott played another great game in net.

Minto begins the next round of WOAA when they host the Durham Huskies in Harriston on Friday January 28th at 6:30.
