Mad Dogs play 3 strong periods against Hanover
The Mad Dogs played an away game in Clifford on Thursday nite against Hanover

It was a homecoming for Josh Hoffele, Greg Allen and Josh Underwood as they have played all their minor hockey in Clifford till this year. The team started out slow in the 1st allowing the 1st goal by Hanover. However, in the 2nd period Hoffele got the home team on the score board with an assist going to Tristen Small. Then Cole Leslie scored his 1st of 2 goals on the nite with an assist from Allen. But just over a minute later, Hanover scored on a breakaway to make the score 2-2 after 2 periods. I think coach Schleuter's pep talk between periods inspired the team because they came out flying. Allen from Leslie just a minute into the 3rd period put the boys up to stay. 4 minutes later Leslie scored from Allen, then Cam Ellis from Cole Sloan Turnbull and Tristen Small made it 5-2. Hanover scored with 2 minutes to go but the Mad Dogs scored 2 late goals to make the final 7-3. Josh Hoffele with 3 goals led the attack and Cole Sloan Turnbull had a strong game after being called up from the Bantam Local's. I think the shots ended up 50-6 in the Mad Dogs favour. The next game is on Monday nite in Teeswater.
