Mad Dogs outplay Milverton but end up with a tie
The Bantam Mad Dogs played a strong 2 periods today but end up with a tie.
The game started out at a fast pace. Tristen Small hit Josh Hoffele with a perfect pass in the neutral zone and Josh blew past the defencemen to score his 1st of 3 goals on the day. Then the Mad Dogs went into a bit of a lull with Milverton picking up the next 2 goals. The next 4 goals were scored by the Mad Dogs, Keaton Ross from Cameron Ellis, Hoffele with his second on great passes from Ross and Underwood, Brad Binkle from Greg Allen and Hoffele with his 3rd unassisted. The 2nd period ended up 5-2 for the Mad Dogs. The team was feeling pretty good about themselves. The problem was the game wasn't over yet. The 3rd period started out great for the Mad Dogs but they couldn't beat a suddenly hot Milverton Goalie. At 9:05 Milverton scored their 3rd goal, then at 3:19 they made it 5-4. The Mad Dogs were on their heels or paws. At 1:41 Milverton completed the comeback. Hopefully this is another lesson for the Mad Dogs to learn from.
