Bantams beat Shelburne in OMHA 1/4 Final
The Mad Dog Bantam Reps defeated Shelburne 3 - 1 in game 4 to take series 3 games to 1.

The Bantam reps had an awsome series against Shelburne and saved some of their best hockey for the third period of game #4. The boys got off to a slow start giving up the first goal just 19 seconds into the first period and struggled to keep the score 1 - 0 after one. In the second the Minto team started to turn it on but still couldn't solve the Shelburne net minder through two periods. Finally Denver Hill was able to bang in a rebound with 10 minutes left in the third period to tie things up from Cole Leslie and Ryan Binkle. The boys started to pour it on and Devin Williams snuck a backhander past a surprise Shelburne goalie from Cam Ellis to give Minto their first lead of the game. From that point on Minto played solid defensively not allowing Shelburne any momentum and then with 4 minutes left, Denver Hill out worked a shelburne defender for a loose puck and rifiled home his second of the night to give Minto a 3 - 1 lead and the eventual win.
Cole Wardlaw played well in net and he an Brett Cook combined to let in only 7 goals in 4 games which was more than enough for the offence to work with.
Minto now moves on to play either Bancroft or Lakefield in the OMHA Semi-finals.
Great work boys and congratulations.
