Atom Rep Tournament
On Saturday January 3rd the Atom Rep Mad Dogs hosted
their tournament at the Harriston arena. The Mad Dogs opened up the day hosting Dundalk at 8:00 am and came up short by a 3 to 1 score, Blair Butchart from Cole Cherrey and Greg Becker had the lone tally for Minto. In the second game Minto tackled Plattsville and come out with a 1 to 0 victory, scoring for the Dogs was Butchart from Cherrey. Quinton Donkersgoed pitched the shutout in that game. That set up the "B" final game between Lucknow and Minto only to see Lucknow take the tittle by a score of 4 to 1. Austin Camm bulged the twine with the only score for Minto unassisted. Lucknow scored 2 in the 3rd period as Minto could not get anything past the Lucknow goalie, not for a lack of effort but just could not get a bounce.
Good job team, it's a long day for the host team as the parents are busy cooking, feeding, cleaning, selling and cheering and the kids sometimes take care of themselves well done parents. Jen Cherrey also pointed in a team email and it sometimes credit goes a miss but as she put it, A Huge thank you to Blair and Jennine Camm who without..... none of this would have been possible!!!!
Good job goes out to the Camm's from the Atom Team it's not easy job running and organizing 1 but 2 tournaments and we'll appreciate it even more come power skating time next fall, thanks.
