Novice Rep Team up 2-1 in Series
Minto Novice Rep team up 2-1 in W.O.A.A. Final v.s. Durham.

The Novice Rep team put all their heart into this weekends games . On Friday night in Durham the reps won 4-2.  The game was back and forth with Durham in the lead when Trevor Scott made the TSN turning point with an amazing save between his legs while on his stomach. At that point Minto then shut Durham down and dominated the game. Kaleb Soloman lead the scoring with two goals and Brodie Hoffele and Tyler Canning each had a goal. Assists going to Brett Zabel (2), Tanner Loos (2), Reid Lobsinger (1)Lucus Oxford (1).

Game 2 in Palmerston was a nail-bitter. Minto and Durham each playing hard again with Scott standing on his head to keep the Novice Team in the game. Unfortunately Durham put one by Minto with 2:17 left in the third to let them tie the series at one a piece.

The Novice Reps travelled back to Durham for game 3 and what a game it was! Minto's Lucus Oxford was first to score assisted from Cody Camm. Durham then tied it. Brodie Hoffele then shot from the blue line (after being tripped) and scored our 2nd goal. Assists going to Camm and Alex Mock. Minto's glory was shortlived as Durham answered with a goal 11 seconds later. The game was back and forth in each end with both teams looking for victory, however, the score remained 2-2 at the end of regulation.

Minto kept the pressure on throughout overtime on great forechecking by Reid Lobsinger,Kaleb Soloman, Tanner Loos. Minto had great scoring chances but couldn't get past the Durham Goalie. It looked like the game would end in a tie until Reid Lobsinger dug the puck out of the corner for Cody Camm who centered the puck to a wide open Brett Zabel. Zabel ended the game with a wrist shot with only 9 seconds remaining.

This series has been a fast paced, hard checking series with both teams leaving everything on the ice. Our Novice Reps players are certainly playing with everything they have from blocking shots to diving at pucks to clear the zone. Come out and support the Novice team as they battle Durham in game four in Harriston at 6pm for the Hodges Championship!
