U15 Capture Regional Silver Stick Title
The Minto Mad Dogs U15 hockey team skated to a decisive victory at the Kincardine Regional Silver Stick Tournament, going undefeated to claim the championship in a weather-extended competition that ran from December 27 to January 2, 2026.

Minto opened round-robin play with convincing wins, defeating the South Bruce Blades 8–2 and the Wingham Ironmen Blue 9–1, securing a place in the quarter-finals. Severe winter weather forced multiple postponements, stretching a tournament originally scheduled to finish on December 30 into the New Year.

Play resumed on January 2, where the Mad Dogs showed no signs of rust. They powered past the Mid-Huron Huskies LL1 team 10–1 in the quarter-finals before eliminating the Goderich Sailors 6–2 in the semi-finals.

In the championship game, Minto faced AEMHA, the tournament’s top-seeded team, and delivered a dominant 12–1 win to secure the Regional Silver Stick title.

With little turnaround time, the Mad Dogs now advance to the International Silver Stick Finals in Pelham, ON, running January 8–11, 2026. Their tournament opens against the Walkerton Capitals 1 on January 8 at 2:15 p.m.

Congratulations to the players and bench staff, and best of luck at the finals.
