Midget Rep, 2011 - 2012 (Minto Minor Hockey Association)

This past weekend the Midget Reps played 3 games against Bancroft, Winning friday night in Clifford 3-2 in Overtime.  Saturday losing 4-2 in Harriston.  Then 2 hours after the game left for Peterborough to keep the drive short for Sunday. In Game 5 with a 2 goal lead after 2 periods. In the thrid period Bancroft got back into the game with 2 quick goals.  Overtime was again needed.  With a post hit once then later on an open net, but then broke the stick on the shot.  Finally some hard work paid off, and they got their goal. As I try and piece together our weekend wrap up in a quick article for everyone, I can’t find the right words to say on how proud I am of my team.   

After finishing the round robin play with a 2-1 record, the boys got into the semi-finals with there goals/against percentage.  With already losing to Mildmay in round robin play the previous day, they sure did not disappoint.  With a total Team effort from our goalie out they defeated Mildmay in the final 3-2.  They have now earned a berth at the International Silver Stick Tournament in Forest, starting on January 13th.  Congratulations Gentlemen.
