Coaching Applications
We know we are in unprecedented times and no one knows yet what hockey is going to look like but we as an organization do think there is going to be hockey this year.
How that hockey will look, we really don't know but the one thing we do know is we will need more volunteers this year more then ever before.
The kids are going to need good, organized coaches this year as the start of the year will be a lot of practices.
The OMHA has put out 4 phases;
Phase 1 Individual skills training (skating, shooting, puck handling.)
Phase 2 Group development still working on skills but also team philosophies break outs, positional play, special teams and so on.
Phase 3 you can implement inter squad games, as well as your other development.
Phase 4 traditional hockey.
We are pushing back the deadline for coaches applications to Aug 31 as we have a lot of teams that have no coaching applications yet. As soon as we have more direction from Hockey Canada, we will pass it along.
