Dogs tie Mildmay 5-5
The boys again had a slow start in the 1st period and were down 2-0 after 8 minutes. They didn't quit though and 28 seconds into the 2nd period Cam Ellis scored on the powerplay with assists to Derrick Riff and Cam Charlebois. Then 2 minutes later Brenden Aitken scored from Riff and Ellis. They took their 1st lead of the game on a great wrist shot from Todd Reiner at 8:51, but just a minute later Mildmay tied it up. Mildmay than took the lead again only to have Minto tie it again with Keaton Ross scoring from Riff and Greg Allen. The 2nd period ended 4-4. The 3rd period was probably the MadDogs best period but they could only muster 1 goal scored by Allen with the lone assist going to Charlebois. Mildmay happened to score 1 goal also to end the game 5-5. A much better result from the 11-4 drubbing the boys took a little over a week ago in Harriston. The game ended on a sour note though as the boys had Mildmay pinned in their own end only to have the game end because of a curfew with 14.7 seconds left to go. The boys next game is in Clinton against BCH on Tuesday night.
