Bantam Mad Dogs get another win
The Bantam Mad Dogs defeated the Arran-Elderslie Ice Dogs 5-0 in an entertaining fast paced hockey game in Harriston tonight.
The Mad Dogs had a slow start to this game and the Arran-Elderslie goalie had a hot hand early, but with 1:22 left in the 1st period Greg Allen scored on a scramble in front of the net with assists going to Cam Charlebois and Todd Donkersgoed. The 2nd period was all Minto as they scored 3 goals. Cameron Ellis scored his 1st of 2 on the night with assists going to Cole Leslie and Brenden Aitken, then Keaton Ross scored on a break away, the assist going to Derril Hoover. Ellis scored his 2nd from Brad Binkle to end the 2nd period 4-0. The Mad Dogs came out in the 3rd a little slow again but held the Ice Dogs to about 8 shots for the game. Josh Hoffele scored unassisted with 2:04 left to make the final 5-0. Lucas Radijcin had his 1st shutout of the year. The Mad Dogs play their next game in Palmerston against the Teeswater Otters who the Dogs beat 3-1 on Monday night.
