Atom Reps loses 2

The Minto Maddogs played Ripley on Monday Feb 15th.
It was a close game with lots of back and forth play. Minto's Blair Butchart put us on the score board first with assists going to Lucus Oxford and Ben Riley. Reid Lobsinger then put one by the Wolves goaltender to put us up 2 -0. Then the Wolves answered back with two goals to put us in to overtime. It wasn't Minto's night as the Wolves scored to give them the 3-2 win.
The Maddogs played on Saturday against Wingham hoping to beat them in the round robin. Minto's Butchart scored first on a pass from Cody Camm and Brett Zabel. Caleb Soloman then had a great goal with assists going to Cody Camm and Logan Wanless. That was the turning point for Wingham as they then answered back with two goals. Minto continued to play strong then Cody Camm dug hard for the puck and got it to Brodie Hoffele who made the play of the game up to Butchart who burried it in the Wingham net which put Minto up 3-2. Butchart completed a hat trick (3 goals)with the assists going to Zabel and Camm. However the Ironmen had different plans for Minto and ended up winning 5-4.
Minto's last game of the round robin is Saturday Feb 27 in Seaforth at 4:15. Go Minto Go!!
