Durham Tournament Nov. 30th
Minto comes up short in Consolation Final losing 3 -0 to Glanbrook
Minto had an early morning date with old rivals Durham and had plenty of opportunity to score but couldn't beat the hometown netminder! Early in the third period Durham took advantage on a Minto penalty and neted the eventual game winner for a final score of 1 -0.
Game two had Minto playing Flesherton and it stayed scoreless until midway through the second when Cam Ellis banged home a rebound. Flesherton came right back with one of their own, so the teams were tied at one. It stayed that way until midway through the third when Minto turned it on scoring three unanswered goals giving them the 4 - 1 win. There was a different twist in game # 2 as Minto went penalty free against Flesherton while in game # 1 Durham had gone penalty free.
Game three had Minto against a strong team from Glanbrook who played a disiplined positional game and took advantage of multiple man advantage situations scoring one goal per period for a deserving 3 - 0 win.
