Midget Rep's Win International Silverstick
The Midget Rep team battled hard this past weekend to win the International Sivlerstick Championship in Forest
The Minto Minor Hockey Midget Rep team finished their round robin play in the tournament with a win over Lambton Shores (3-1) and Shelburne (8-1) and a loss to Lucan (4-2). Based on the tournament’ point system it placed Minto in 4th, which meant the team would meet the Lucan Irish (1st place) in the Semi-Finals.
Minto went on to defeat Lucan by a score of 3-0. Minto would go on to meet the Centre Hastings Grizzlies in the Finals. After being down 2-0, the team battled back to down the Grizzlies 3-2 and capture the International Silverstick Championship.
The coaching staff, parents and Minto Minor Hockey Association are very proud of what the team accomplished at both the Regional and International Silverstick tournaments. Great Job Mad Dogs!!
