Minto showed the hometown crowd the meaning of teamwork in a great game against the Mount Forest Rams.

Last the night the Minto Mad Dogs took the ice hungry for a win. Minto came out strong in the first period with a goal scored by Keegan Sitt only one minute into the game. Halfway through the period Hayden McIntosh assisted by Kaleb Walker and Ben Caughill found the top corner of the net past the Mount Forest Goalie. With only 1 second left in the first period Mount Forest sent a wake-up call to the Mad Dogs ending the first period with the Mad Dogs leading 2-1.
In the second period the Mad Dogs played solid defensive lines with defensemen Cassie Ward, Alex Voll, Ben Caughill and Hailey Burnett managing to hold the puck inside the Mount Forest blue line for most of the period. Brayden Moore managed to increase the Mad Dog lead with a solo goal plus an additional second goal assisted by Keegan Sitt and Liberty Thalan taking the lead 4-1.
The Mad Dogs came back in the third period hungry for more with a quick goal by Hayden McIntosh followed by a second goal for McIntosh assisted by Ben Caughill to complete the hat-trick. Mount Forest did manage to answer back with 2 more goals in the third period but Isaiah Steeves of the Mad Dogs, kept the pressure coming with a hat-trick in the third period assisted by Brayden Moore and Hailey Burnett. With only one minute left in the third period Steeves would manage to pop in a forth goal winning the game 10-3 in favour of the Mad Dogs. A great team effort.
