Midget Reps Win Regional Silver Stick Tournament
With finishing pool play 3-0, the boys played in the semi finals Sunday against Shallow Lake. Winning that game 3-0 to get a birth into the final game 2 hours later. In the Final, up 2-0, Wingham scored 2 late goals in the third to tie up the game, sending it to overtime. With this group of players being in pressure situation's over the last year, they knew what they had to do to get the job done. With 2:21 left in the first overtime period Minto got the winning goal to earn them a birth at the International Silver Stick Tournament in Forest in January.
Those 2 goals Wingham scored were the only 2 goals Minto allowed all tournament.
