PeeWee LL beats Teeswater in game 3 to win WOAA Title
After an upsetting loss on Tuesday in game 2 in Teeswater the Minto team went into game 3 with one thing on their minds, winning!  And that's exactly what they did beating Teeswater 3-2 in over-time..  They are the PeeWee LL WOAA White Champions Central-South Division 2008-2009!

Both teams came into this game to win.  The first period saw an even match up between the two teams with no goals scored.  Minto kept the presure on keeping the Teeswater goalie busy.  With just 9.8 seconds left of the second period Spencer Wylie got a break away and put one past the goalie putting the Minto team up 1-0 going into the 3rd period.  Minto goalie Matt Langridge made some great saves keeping us in the game.

In the third period Teeswater was able to put one passed our goalie to tie it at 1-1.  We came back quick with a goal 2 minutes later, scored by Zach Vanderkolk on a rebound from Tanner Pridham to put us up again.  Unfortunately Teeswater was not giving in easily and tied it yet again in just 13 seconds.  The score would remain 2-2 to the end of the game with Minto putting on the heat.

Into overtime the pressure was on both teams.  The winner would be decided by one more goal!  Our Minto boys would not give up, keeping the puck in the Teeswater end.  After many shoots on net, we finally got in the winning goal with just 3 minutes left in overtime.  Scored by Mark Rowley assisted by Matt Beier and Mike McHarg.

Great game Minto!  Congradulations to you all.  Goalies Matt Langridge and Ben Riley, defence Cole Manser, Spencer Wylie, Hayden Burgess, and Dexter Schoutsen, forwards Tanner Pridham, Matt Beier, Zach Vanderkolk, Chase Foerter, Brody Schiestel, Russell Dennison, Timmy Lopes, Mike McHarg, and Mark Rowley.
