Midget Rep's Win OMHA Championship!!
Submitted By Sondra Scott on Friday, March 23, 2018
The Minto Midget Rep's took on the Delhi Rockets in in the OMHA finals and didn't waste any time sweeping  the Rockets in three straight games.

Game One took place in Delhi and would keep all the fans on the edge of their seats.  It was back and forth action, ending regular play at a 3-3 tie.  In overtime it was the  Mad Dogs who would strike back with a overtime goal to win the game.

Game Two would be on home ice, in front of a packed Palmerston arena.  The boys were focused and put on an outstanding show for the fans winning 8-2.

Game Three would take the team back to Delhi with the hopes of bringing home the championship.  The Mad Dogs didn't disappoint.  The game saw a lot of penalties for both sides but the Mad Dogs came out on top winning 5-1, clenching the OMHA Championship.

The Midget's post season would show that the boys and coaches were focused and had only 1 goal in mind, winning the OMHA  Championship.  They only lost two games and tied one during post season action, playing West Grey, Stayner, South Bruce, Mariposa and Delhi.

Congratulations to the Minto Midget Rep Team and its entire coaching staff... 2017-2018 OMHA Champs!

A note from the parents to our boys:
Thank you for a hockey season filled with so many lasting memories.  The amazing friendships made off the ice reflect in the team spirit on the ice.  You make us proud with your passion and pure love of hockey.

We would like to also thank the coaching staff for their time and commitment this season.  You took time out of of your busy schedules making this year for our boys such a memorable one.   They couldn't of did it without you.
