Bantam AE Record Improves to 6-4-2
Over the past two weeks the Bantam AE Team has improved their record to 6-4-2. On Thursday November 20th the Bantam AE Team travelled to Arthur to meet up with the Vipers.  Despite their grit and determination Minto couldn’t light up the scoreboard.  Arthur muscled their way to a 3-0 win over the Mad Dogs.   On Saturday November 22nd, Mitchell travelled to Palmerston to faceoff against the Bantam AE Team.  The boys arrived at the arena determined to turn things around after their loss to Arthur two nights prior.

After just two minutes of play Minto found the back of Mitchell’s net to open up the scoring.  With two minutes left in the period, Mitchell notched a goal of their own to tie things up at one a piece.  During the second period the Mad Dogs appeared to be in the zone - they were making great plays and executing perfect passes.  This enabled them to put two unanswered goals up on the scoreboard making the score 3-1.

As the two teams met at centre ice for period 3 it was obvious Mitchell wasn’t giving up.  They managed to make a rush into the Minto end and put one between the pipes to cut Minto’s lead in half.  This last goal seemed to kick the Mad Dogs into high gear.  The guys fired it up and scored two more goals to increase their lead to three goals.  Mitchell wouldn’t be out done.  With less than a minute left the Meteors lit the board up for the last time.  At the final buzzer Minto lead with a 5-3 score.  Way to go Mad Dogs!

On Monday November 24th the Mad Dogs hosted BCH at the Harriston Arena.  Minto came out a bit flat in this game but worked very hard to get the lead on BCH.  Each Mad Dog player gave their all to the game and their determined effort lead them to a 3 - 1 victory.   We are very proud of how this team works together no matter how the game is going.  They never give up.  Way to go guys!

Kudos to both Bantam AE goaltenders – you’ve made some awesome saves and plays throughout these past three games.
