Bantam Reps - Minto Tournament Champions !!
It was a great win for the bantam reps this past weekend. We had 8 teams enter the Minto Maddogs tournament and there was great hockey played amongst these teams. Big thanks to all the teams that participated in our tournament.
Our bantam boys played their first game against Arthur. Within 30 seconds of play Arthur hit the score board but the maddogs came back 30 seconds later to make it a tie game.Both teams would score again in the first period leaving it a tie game. During the second period the maddogs would come back to score their third goal of the game ending the period with a 1 goal lead. Half way through the third period the maddogs would score the fourth goal of the game.Leaving the final score 4-2 for the maddogs.

Game # 2 Maddogs VS Blyth Brussels
The maddogs came to play for their 2:15pm game against Blyth Brussels.Although both teams spent a fair bit of their time in the penalty box the maddogs seem to be able to move ahead throughout the game. Scoring in the first period with 3 mins remaining gave the maddogs the advantage to take control of the game. Neither team would score in the second period. Both teams played hard to keep it out of the net. 3rd period would be a different story. The maddogs would come out to score 2 goals in the third to make it a 3-0 game to move them into the championship game. great game goalies and players.

Championship game: Maddogs vs South Bruce AE
Both Teams came out and had a great game,but the Maddogs would take the championship home. Both teams displayed great sportsmanship throughout the game. Minto hit the score board first with 23 seconds left in the 1st period. They came into the 2nd and scored 2 more goals to make it a 3-0 lead for the maddogs. During the third South Bruce would hit the scoreboard half way through the third but the maddogs would come back and get other goal to finish off the game with a 4-1 win. Great game Goalies and Players.
